Torr Scientific Ltd (TSL) is a manufacturing business specialising in UHV Instrumentation, including UHV viewports, AR Coatings, X-ray anodes, Phosphor Screens, optics, filaments, vacuum hardware and custom-built parts. The company was established in 1998 and is based in Bexhill-on-Sea on the South Coast of England. An extensive range of UHV Viewports are produced to meet a variety of transmission requirements. Viewport optics include Quartz, Sapphire, Magnesium Fluoride, Calcium Fluoride, Zinc Selenide, CVD Diamond and most other optical components. The AR Coating service which ranges from single QWOT to multi-layer broad band coatings compliments the viewport range. The company processes Phosphor Screens to customer specifications. ITO coatings and lead glass assemblies for x-ray shielding are also offered. Dual and mono X-Ray Sources used in surface analysis are manufactured and refurbished.
